Launched in Calgary in 2009, CONGLOMERATE fills a niche previously unoccupied, deviating from conventional fashion publishing to challenge the status quo and compliment the nation's remarkable talent. CONGLOMERATE features noteworthy talent - ranging from industry movers and shakers, business owners, creative masterminds, photographers, stylists, artists and native models - but does so with a Canadian vivacity that is unique to CONGLOMERATE. CONGLOMERATE strives to recognize, celebrate, and promote the designers and industry professionals that move Canada's fashion industry forward.

Street style is made by which a new sense of style emerges from the everyday people walking around us and how they express themselves through their clothing, which is captured by photographers, who then use these images to inspire designers for their line. The Scripture of Street Style is a book which organizes the different types of street style and is accompanied by the photographs of The Sartorialist, Scott Schuman. The inspiration for this book takes a step outside of street culture but uses the old and classic style of Biblical design. The idea of religious commitment is closely related to the fashionista devotees, who consistently try to keep up with the latest fashion trends.

NYLON Magazine is a publication in New York
that has provided a unique voice, style, and
prespective in fashion, music, and beauty
for hip young women and guys. The vibrant
pages of the magazine is captured throughout
its various branding outlets.
Adapting to the branding standards of NYLON
was very important in the execution of various
projects; from pages in the magazine, party
invitations, advertorials, to designing event
spaces, and various promotional and marketing
materials. The style was very raw, sponteneous,
and eclectic--an aesthetic that is different from the simple and minimalist look that the designer is used to.

Collection Magazine is a hypothetical fashion magazine. The term collection plays a double meaning: in fashion, collections are referred to the various designer’s line. The word collection can also mean, the accumulation of things. The overall design and layout was inspired by the word itself. Giving the design a sense of accumulation, gathering, grouping, containing. A reoccurring theme withing the pagination of the magazine, is the use of brackets to communicate the idea of containment and "collection."

Bella Italia is a book which showcases the joy of Italy. In this case, Italian food. The objective of the Bella Italia insert books are to inform consumers about Italian food and drink products and encourage them to experience Italian lifestyle and culture. The target audience is 30-something, urban sophisticates who enjoy fine dining and travelling and appreciate the finer things in life. They have a vested interest in Italian food and culture. They are not conservative but rather adventurous and like to take risks.
The page layout and overall design was inspired by fine dining. As you open each pages, the typography is arranged to mimic the culinary arts and the idea of small portion, bold taste, and carefully detailed garnish.
